As a GM one of the things we are consistently doing is drawing out maps of the various places we put our adventuring groups into. Thanks to the internet we can easily pull up floor plans of various buildings for our use. This not only saves us time, but also adds an additional element of realism to the scene that may not have otherwise been there. I don’t know about you, but trying to know all the things that ought to be in a mall, or aquarium or museum often means I overlook some standard details. With the help of real floor plans I avoid the pitfalls of my own lack of knowledge.
I hope that you find these useful as you run your own games. Most of these are geared towards present day and near modern genre’s, however there could be use in some other settings as well.
